Week Eleven

What a week! We started off the week having to do our presentation on the Monday, where we used items from our marketing trade stand to decorate our board with the PowerPoint on, this enabled us to show continuous links within our brand. Our presentation encapsulated everything our business was aiming for, highlighting the crisis animals are going through; as well as showing off our product! 2 days later we were then faced with our live interview with the judges, which allowed us to gain an insight as to what the judges want to see from us in the future. Last night we found out that we won for the Coventry and Warwickshire area, which means we are through to regionals. As well as this we won 2 awards for our areas but including Worcestershire too - for best brand image and best presentation. This was so amazing to find out as we have been working so hard to get where we are, doing it in lunchtimes and after school to achieve what we can. After all this good news, we spent today's meeting discussing what the next steps in the process are. We are currently looking into getting a patent to protect our product, as we think it has to chance to really break into the board game market. We are also reaching out to garden centres and other retailers in hope for them to stock our product and increase its popularity even more! In hope for a rapid increase in demand, we are reaching out to manufacturers who might be willing to help produce our product in the future; as well as looking into creating a virtual game of it making it more accessible globally. Overall, we are so happy to be where we are currently and can't wait to see what the future has in store for us. Photo below of our presentation set up.
